WILLIAMS,
GARRY KENT, 72, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2011 while visiting
friends in Nashville, TN.
He was born August 31, 1938 to Ralph and Marie Williams of Raceland, KY and
was a lifelong resident of Louisville. Garry had retired after 45 years in
the construction and real estate development business, serving as president
for both the Ralph E. Williams Company and WKB Properties. He graduated from
Louisville Male High School, attended University of Kentucky, University of
Louisville and was a U.S Air Force veteran. Garry was an Eagle Scout, a
Kentucky Colonel, a former member of Louisville Thoroughbred Chorus,
Master's Men of Southeast Christian, an avid golfer, outdoorsman, pilot,
longtime member of Hurstbourne Country Club and Southeast Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph E. Williams.
Garry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sally Wheat Williams; mother,
Marie Dean Williams; brother, Max Williams (Stephanie); daughter, Lisa
Williams; son, Kent Williams (Beth); and his adored grandchildren, Benton,
Abe and Annie Williams. He was a friend to many and will be missed dearly.
