Don Claxon

1933 - 2005

 

 

CLAXON, DONALD B., 72, of Louisville, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was a retired inspector for General Electric, with 39 years of service, and a member of American Legion Highland Post #201, the Motet Singers, International Order of Foresters, St. Paul United Methodist Church, AARP and Lakeside Swim Club. He was a former member of the Rose Society and a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Lena Mae Claxon; daughters, Diana Hackett and Ellen Singhiser; sons, Donald F. Claxon and Russell D. Claxon; aunt, Mary Alice Hall of Shelbyville, KY; and two grandchildren, Donald E. and April M. Claxon. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2005, at St. Paul United Methodist, 2000 Douglass Blvd., with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. both Thursday and Friday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane. Memorial gifts may go to Kosair Children's Hospital or Ducks Unlimited.
